My Favourite Mug for Mug Monday

Ooops - sorry it is late - but here is my favourite mug. It accompanies me on all my artistic journeys and coffee tastes great out of it. It is an Emma Bridgewater Tulips mug and was designed to support the National Gardens Scheme which is a charity whereby gardens are open to the public all over England. Little gardens, big gardens. Great fun if you are a garden inspector and want a little nose into other peoples properties...ha ha.

This is in response to a post by Weaver of Grass and Acornmoon who has a lovely list of other peoples' mugs. Go and have a look if you have a moment.

Pretty mug but an even nicer piece of work that you are creating. My mugs are dull and boring. I suppose I should look into getting something a little intesting.

That mug is simply stunning! Tulips are one of my most favoured flowers.

Your artwork is equally as stunning!

I love the title of your blog too.

I'll be a follower from now (and would love if you'd do the same) on as I love artsy blogs by creative individuals. You certainly fit the "bill".

Hi dolores. Thanks very much. That is an older piece of art but I thought it would look nice as a background to my mug for Mug Monday. There are so many gorgeous designs around nowadays.

Thank you, Cathy, for visiting my left-handed page. I love your tulip mug; have you read 'Tulip Fever'? We used to live in Cambridge, and went once to Spalding where the fields of tulips were a feast for the eyes. One day perhaps I will see the bulb fields in Holland.

Happy Mug Monday from Swansea, Wales - and I LOVE your art work. As to 'birds, cats and chocolate' YES - and the tea, too.

Hello Kat

Many thanks for the lovely comments. I love tulips too. There was another flower mug I liked too called Hellebores but this one won. I have sent you an email because I cannot access your blog now although I could do so earlier.

Hi Cathy - I had to laugh when I saw your post. My favorite mug is also an Emma Bridgewater mug, I have Blue Tit. When I saw this mug I just had to have it. Everything tastes better in it!

Another great mug,I can see your artwork on ceramics and fabrics, I think you are a surface pattern designer at heart.

Hello Caroline. I enjoyed my visit to Wales to see your blog. I haven't read Tulip Fever but I read a review about it on Google and it comes very well recommended. I would love to see the Holland bulb fields too. Tulips are gorgeous and particularly red ones for some reason. My coffee tastes extra special in this mug..ha ha. As for chocolate - don't mention it.

Hi Holly

Those Emma Bridgewater bird mugs are gorgeous. I was tempted by several species but I plumped for the tulips. It was a close run thing though. I like practically everything she does. She is a great designer. I like the feel of them too with their chunky bottoms.

Thanks very much Valerie. I am definitely drawn to surface design. I have very much enjoyed visiting all the mug post blogs on your blog. Mug Monday is a great idea.

Hello Cathy, Love your mug and tulips are my favorite Spring flower. I also think it great that your Mug raised money for the National Garden Scheme. I think that the British has some of the most beautiful gardens in the world. Your art is awesome. Lovely blog. Hugs Judy

Hello Judy,

Thanks very much for your kind words. I must say the British take their gardens very seriously indeed. They are so beautiful at the moment. Mind you, yours is too.

Thank you Raph. That is nice to know. I wasn't too sure about that picture but it is lovely to know that someone likes it.

Your favorite mug (and the art beside it) are lovely! I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of what I am sure will be my new favorite mugs for awhile now - they are being custom made by an Etsian. I will probably post pictures of the set when it arrives.
