My Favourite Mug for Mug Monday
Ooops - sorry it is late - but here is my favourite mug. It accompanies me on all my artistic journeys and coffee tastes great out of it. It is an Emma Bridgewater Tulips mug and was designed to support the National Gardens Scheme which is a charity whereby gardens are open to the public all over England. Little gardens, big gardens. Great fun if you are a garden inspector and want a little nose into other peoples properties...ha ha.

Pretty mug but an even nicer piece of work that you are creating. My mugs are dull and boring. I suppose I should look into getting something a little intesting.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Cathy, for visiting my left-handed page. I love your tulip mug; have you read 'Tulip Fever'? We used to live in Cambridge, and went once to Spalding where the fields of tulips were a feast for the eyes. One day perhaps I will see the bulb fields in Holland.

Hi Cathy - I had to laugh when I saw your post. My favorite mug is also an Emma Bridgewater mug, I have Blue Tit. When I saw this mug I just had to have it. Everything tastes better in it!

ReplyDeleteHello Caroline. I enjoyed my visit to Wales to see your blog. I haven't read Tulip Fever but I read a review about it on Google and it comes very well recommended. I would love to see the Holland bulb fields too. Tulips are gorgeous and particularly red ones for some reason. My coffee tastes extra special in this mug..ha ha. As for chocolate - don't mention it.

ReplyDeleteThose Emma Bridgewater bird mugs are gorgeous. I was tempted by several species but I plumped for the tulips. It was a close run thing though. I like practically everything she does. She is a great designer. I like the feel of them too with their chunky bottoms.

Your favorite mug (and the art beside it) are lovely! I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of what I am sure will be my new favorite mugs for awhile now - they are being custom made by an Etsian. I will probably post pictures of the set when it arrives.

I got Inspiration for Embroidery...I'd say it's one of the best books I've ever purchased. I'll definitely look into buying Keito's. Love your site, Cathy...I can see we are kindred spirits.
